Why Visit Saudi Arabia
Covering a land area that’s larger than the U.K, France, Germany, and Spain combined, Saudi Arabia is home to one of the most abundant geographic landscapes in the world. Between the pristine waters of the Red Sea in the west and the Arabian/Persian Gulf in the east, you will find a unique and incredibly diverse landscape that includes breathtaking mountainous terrains, underground caves where ancient rivers used to flow, forests and oases where native plants flourish, lakes that are formed at the collision point of different climates, and the world’s largest interconnected desert.
Alongside that are historical attractions that tell the story of Saudi Arabia’s founding and the great Islamic empires that preceded it throughout the last 14 centuries. Moreover, Saudi Arabia boasts six different UNESCO World Heritage sites that go back to ancient societies that inhabited the area several thousands of years ago. All of this is located at the heart of a metropolitan, rapidly modernizing society that’s home to some of the largest cities in the region.
The Kingdom is also one of the safest places in the whole world. In fact, according to the U.S Embassy in Riyadh, the crime levels in Saudi Arabia are “far below most major metropolitan areas in the United States”.
So far in 2023, about 18 million tourists visited Saudi Arabia, making it the most popular destination in the entire Arab World, far ahead of Dubai and Morocco. For that matter, Saudi Arabia welcomed more than 3 times as many visitors as Egypt.
